I’d been an engineer in a large company and recently received an MBA – but knew I needed coaching to help me connect my strengths and create the kind of value I knew I could create.
Since working with Laurie, I’m more communicative, more proactive, more biased toward action, and more likely to ask for what I want. And I’m more likely to interpret events as road signs on a path of growth, toward big goals.
In the past, I rarely had the opportunity to discuss strategy with business stakeholders. Today I do this a lot, as a part of my new role at work.
My income has increased significantly, and I’m investing more. Personally, we’re moving ahead with major items: additions to our house, participation in our community, and more charitable support for important causes.
Many of our individual coaching clients decide to join one of our coaching groups. Here’s how they work.
New Horizon Strategies organizes small groups of six to eight people into coaching groups that gather once or twice a month to explore common issues of interest and set goals.
Sometimes coaching groups focus on themes from a such as team building, “Breaking the Ice of Nice™”, “What a Can’t Fail Culture Costs Your Bottom Line™”, “Making Perfect People Better™” and Values Alignment with the Cultural Transformation Tool®. Many times, coaching groups form around a certain issue or initiative in an organization that needs attention.
New Horizon Strategies, LLC typically uses a mastermind approach to help participants become more accountable for reaching goals they’ve set for themselves.
Along the way, participants open their hearts and minds to learn new skills and tools, share ideas, build trust, gain support and grow as a team. There’s time for sharing, and time for attention to each individual’s needs.
Group coaching is valuable because of the intense support and encouragement each person receives from other members of the group.
Thank you for helping me discover new parts of me and allowing me to express my shame in a creative and safe way. I feel more confident and aware than ever before.
Though this was challenging and ‘raw,’ it was so helpful, and I truly needed it. You did a great job allowing us space, keeping us on track and assisting us in gaining insight and processing what we were learning. Thank you for your openness and authenticity.
Laurie led a ‘book boost’ with mastermind sessions that were very helpful for me. Laurie’s facilitation and coaching have helped uncover opportunities and sparked very beneficial ideas.
I had the great joy of working with Laurie to provide career transition coaching for Aerospace Transition Center clients and technical professionals. She has an amazing ability to pull people together for the betterment of the whole. Her New Horizon Strategies Transition Model is powerful for helping clients achieve their goals and objectives. And she’s a fun person to be around!
